I AM JUST ME . . .

by Jessica   Apr 23, 2005

WHEN I WAS TWO,
I WANTED TO BE JUST LIKE YOU.
WHEN I WAS EIGHT,
I LEARNED TO DEBATE.
WHEN I WAS NINE,
I LEARNED BEING DIFFERENT WAS FINE.
AND NOW AT THIRTEEN,
I AM NOT A BEAUTY QUEEN.
OR A MOVIE STAR, I CANT SING,
NO LONGER DO I WANT TO MARRY A KING.
I AM NOT LOOKING FOR A MISSING KEY,
I JUST WANT TO BE ME.

THIS POEM IS FOR ANY ONE LOOKING TO FIND THERE SELFS.
