I've Searched to find You

by Libby M   Apr 23, 2005

We always know what we want
When we stop searching
Somehow sometimes
Life doesn’t bring you
To where you want to be

Sometimes we stop
And we wonder-
how it all somehow took place
And how it easily all ended so soon
we are scared of what we can be
and afraid that we will never be

We choose and so our choice
Defines who we will be
And if it all fails
We blame what and who
Surrounds us each and every day

Through it all-I hold on to you
Even though we are miles apart
We think our words will get us through
But sometimes, our physical touch
Is all we seek for in the midst of our trials

I hold you close as I shut my eyes-
I see you near me, but somehow not
Close enough-
I cry for you in my quietest moments
And silence is all that can be

We search till we find-
I’ve searched and I have found
Something deep
Something real
Something beautiful
Something-We barely can define
I’ve searched my dearest one
In a field filled with thorns
And I found you standing tall
ready to take me home.
