The Likes of You

by Eden   Apr 23, 2005

I used to hide away from pain
Cry away all of their disdain
I saw not what really sought
To make me feel so bought...

I used to shed a tear to sing
My hostility into the nightime sting,
But now I see that I am clear
And now I have no fear.

My fear was such that I would scream
Moreso than when I did dream
And I never saw a blinding sight
As blinding as the Light.

See when my transformation
Began with simple declaration...
And some help from those I love
(Certainly not from above)

See me when I changed throughout
When I struck all with sudden clout
I let my feeling run free and untainted
By all the world\'s faces that are painted.

Now I see where I was wrong
Seeking in life to be so strong
Now I see that I am like
The life of Death\'s Strike.

I unfurl my blackening wings
Rise into the air that sings
I am like the darkness moon
From which I ran away...so soon.

I fly towards my unknowing prey
Knowing that there\'s no Light of Day
I see all that there is to see
To fear is to let me be me.

I can see what I will do
With the very likes of you
You are Light and I am dark
In space the light is not so stark.

I will swallow you so clear
Leave the traces of your fear
Know how very much I loathe
The very likes of you

I will dissipate your mind
Make you see how you were blind.
I know not how I will accomplish
The pain for the likes of you.

I hate you all as you can see
The curse for letting me be me
See the shadow coming quickly
Towards the likes of you...

I hate you
I loathe you...
I will make you disappear...

...Run and I shall catch up with you...after all, to run away from me is just a mere game that takes up a small fracture of my time...but all of yours.

Farewell...to the likes of you.
