Love the game

Step up and swing the bat
thats all it really takes
don't be scared
of what anyone thinks
play the game
one pitch at a time
don't worry
just say this ones mine
stand up tall
and keep your head up
when you fall
just get right back up
dive for the ball
get your glove dirty
don't worry about the win
just show them
your not giving in
count the games
and the innings
don't count the wins
or the losses
just focus on what you got
because you don't have it too long
softball is a game rite now
until you get old
so swing the bat
and stand up tall
the rest will come
a few balls will fall
but play that position
no matter where it is
do your best
and thats just one wish
hope dream and drive the ball
hit or miss they will fall
run the bases
slid in head first
get that white uniform dirty
shake hands with your fist
thank god for what you got
and remember
just play that spot
your in the game
thats all that matters
pick the balls up when they scatter
throw it hard and use your feet
move the glove to catch it
not very hard to pick a seat
bench is there just sit rite down
the game will start
with the sound
PLAY BALL
then i wake up
it wasn't a dream at all
just visualizing the game for tomorrow
the night before
just like coach tells us to do
because it will help just a few
watching the pitches
one by one
hitting them in a line
driving um
time for the game
and I'm ready to go.
Softball is my love
its there for life
playing or watching
it doesn't really matter
b/c i know
theres always a new batter
steps up in the box
hits that line drive
and brings back the memories
ill hold inside
so long live softball
and the teams
for one day my time will be over
and it will be your time to dream!
