I trusted once
I kept my guard down
I kept the faith
In my friends;
I turned my back
Feeling safe
And did not listen;
To my heart ache;
It ached because betrayal was near
But I was in love
I did not hear
I loved so blindly
I loved so true
I did not see the knife go thru
I only felt it wen I turned
It broke the trust
I felt the burn
As my heart exploded all in turn;
So now you tell me
Now you must
