My Inner Child

by blu   Sep 9, 2003

A child long forgotten,
stuck in depths of reality.
Trying to break through,
to live the life it never had.

Faries brought down by bullets,
love- scarred by hate.
The child cowers,
longing to be set free.

A father long gone,
a mother who doesn't know how to love.
A child growing into the "real world"
much too young.

Leaving behind all that is safe,
leaving behind all that is fun.
She rises into this world,
with too much too lose,
the child, long gone.

A child long forgotten,
now trying to break through,
though much to her dismay,
she see's it's too late.
