Invisible Pain

by Erica Brown©   Apr 26, 2005

Invisible to the eye,
A pain so tormenting.
Sure you could see my
Bloodshot eyes
Nicks on my arms
Tear stained cheeks
But who are you to say
You can feel the same
When you never lived my life
My energy
My love
My happiness left
And all because I lied,
For that I must pay
The rest of my life is the check
To pay back what I have done
To him
I never meant to
It hurts to hate the only person
In your reflection
That same person
That true lover
Who can see my pain.
