Baby Girl

by Courtney Paige   Apr 27, 2005

She talked like rain
But she looked like thunder
She was headed high
Ended up six feet under
All her dreams running through her head

Her mama said don't go yet
She never listened
She had her future set
She was gunna be a movie star
She started small
And headed so far
While her mama worried
And her mama cried
She wrote a letter and this is what it said:

Dear mama,

Can you send some cash, please don't hesitate and make it fast.
Don't worry about me, I'll be alright.
Just need some money cuz the budgets tight.
I'm getting further and further away
But I'll be coming home one day
Just remember I love you more then anything in the world
Love,
Your Baby Girl

She finally made it to Holly Wood
She was nervous
She did the best she could
Tried out and made it
She thought that she'd be hated
She went to a party afterwords
She had a few drinks
The she slurred:

She talked like rain
But she looked like thunder
She was headed high
Ended up six feet under
All her dreams running through her head
Her mama got a letter and this is what it said:

Dear Ms. Doe

Sorry to inform you, but i think you should know.
Your daughter was heading home,
After a party and no one knew.
But she hit the pavement and then she didn't come too
She loved you more then anything in the world
In the memory of your baby girl
