On my own...

by Jacob M Parnell   Apr 29, 2005

Mom, Witness as you let my life descend.
Into an empty dream.
The empty dream that you've made yours
The life that I don't want
And the choices that are mine to make
Whats it to you what I decide to do?
Just try to look at it thru my point of view.
Wait!, thats right you cant.
And even if you could.
I wouldn't want you too.
Because you cant undue.
All the Sh*t you and Dad put me thru.
That much I know is true.
You cant take back all those times.
All the times you made me cry.
And now Ive become my own person.
Not you!
So please let me learn, and let me find out.
Let me lead my life, without the doubt.
And if the day comes that I fall.
I wont be hurt at all.
You have to understand that this is the only thing I have.
And I'm just trying to let you know.
That I'm better off on my own....
