A poem

Covering up my footsteps, which light up the street
Echoes of my agonizing walk on my bleeding feet
Smearing crimson tears from my arms along these walls
Running along endlessly down these ebony halls

Whispering words that I cannot quite grasp
Mocking me, laughing at my steps on this path
Another wrong turn, as these mutilations take place
Plaster a smile onto my mask covered face

Play with my mind, opposing hard worn thoughts
Sifting through the battles, in my mind I have fought
Stain my face with my nails, try to claw out my pain
Yell so silently and slash my blood stricken arms again

Instantly dismayed, from my failed attempts at life
Too strong to die, yet too weak to drop the knife
Suffocate clutching my thoughts of you
Please I'm begging help me get through
