Tears

by kimberly   May 1, 2005

You can see these tears running down my face
But the emotion is coming from another place
I tried so hard to hold it inside
But these tears are hard to hide
These are not tears of joy or happiness
These are the tears of pure sandiness
A sadness that can only be brought by a significant other
Not like a sister a father brother or mother
A sadness that can only be brought from a friend
A friend that told you they'd be there till the end
But hurtful words and jokes with laughter
Only made you realize that after
They were cracking jokes about you and telling lies
And while you walk by they giggled and said hi
By then you realized they were up to something
Of course they acted like they were up to nothing
But you knew that they were saying stuff and spreading rumors
Maybe it was something like you had brain tumors
But either way you know it hurts to be laughed at
And even worse when you don't know about that
One horrible phrase that one day will be said
I don't want to be your friend ever again!
And right then and there your heart just stops
You can barely hear a needle drop
And then all of a sudden coming out of your eyes
A bunch of tears of very small size
And finally that person realizes how much pain they caused
Both of us just stood there and everyone paused
All of them stood and waited for me to respond
But I never did i just looked beyond
And you know what i saw down the hall
All of her friends laughing near they bathroom stall
I ran away, away from everyone
And the day was done
That night i was crying in my bed
All those nasty word filled my head"
All the thoughts of being laughed at by friends
Will most likely haunt me till the end
And once again creeping down my face
A little tear fell down my check with grace
