I can see the pain

The greener pastures you chose
doesn't seen that long ago
Mountains you climbed
put your dreams to rest
To help ease your mind
you took one day at a time
Like most roads you traveled
left you with less

Are your passions still there
does your heart even care
Do you find memories
of a love long ago
Does the storm still remain
like a never ending game
Or do you ponder
on questions you know

Like a one way track
will you ever look back
Or except your loses
and take the blame
Will you awaken one day
to a life led astray
If you do
I can see the pain.........

    wonderful poem. It does make you think and anytime a writer makes the reader stop, and think about what their reading instead of just hurrying through the lines, its considered an excellant write.........so you did it, I've enjoyed all the poems of your that I'v read so far.....will keep reading.
