Wandering around cold and alone
Not sure of who I am so I moan and groan
Attention is all we are after
So we pretend everything is alright and cover it up with laughter
We just want to be what we see on TV
Thinking our lives will be better but thats not the key
So we look in the mirror and judge right away
We don't like what we see or what people say
We know what we want and that is perfection
But that isn't what we see in our reflection
We try to conquer something that is out of our reach
Beauty is on the outside thats what we teach
Just remember your beautiful no matter what
It doesn't matter if your "hot" or have a nice butt
Keep your head up and never get yourself down
Because if you believe in yourself your inner beauty has been found

The poem is true on most lines except for the part about everyone wanting to be hot. I don't want to be hot. I don't want to be ugly either. I want to be normal.

a very true and profound statement. A little cliche, but still true. I can honestly say I didn't expect much when I read the first few lines, but it turned out not half bad. Read some of my work if you get the time.
