My Very Best Friend

by cheyenne   May 2, 2005

I remember well what she said to me that day
That she couldn't survive another day
She needed to go to a place where they understood
That she was doing this for her own good
Many times she cried, saying it was her fault
Not caring if she ever got caught
With a weapon to end her pain
But that all changed one day in the rain
We were alone, my best friend and i
And asked her all her reasons to die
She said I need to leave before it gets harder
And before my weapons get any sharper
He broke my heart but not again
Even if I have to leave my best friend
I looked and her and she simply smiled
And invited me into her wild
I said no and she simply shrugged
And all of a sudden we cried and hugged
She said I really don't want to go
And it took you to make me know
But I don't want to hurt again
But unfortunately I guess I have to now thanks to my very best friend
