Silent Tear Drop

Theres always the girl in the back of the classroom
Who looks like she lives a life full of darkness and gloom
She never raises her hand or speaks
Never looks up because of the bruises on her cheeks
She dreads lunch where the children laugh and play
So she locks herself in the bathroom for half of the day
She walks home as slow as she can
because she knows when she gets there she will see a hand
she walks into the door as quite as can be
saying to herself "I hope mom doesn't see me"
She heads to her room and lays on her bed
looking up wishing she was dead
her mom storms in with an odor from her breath
the girl wishes she was back at school and never left
her mom picks her up and throws her across the room
the girl knows she is heading for doom
the mom kicks her a little here and there
the girl thinking this isn't fair
she doesn't shed a tear
she just hides in her fear
a few hours later the mom is all done
mom walks away drunk thinking it was fun
she didn't realize the little girl had died
now everyone wishes someone could of helped or at least tried...
