Alone

by Lisa Carter   May 2, 2005

Feeling down
when nobody's around
rivers flow from your eyes
as you live on your lies
all alone
nobody's home
inside your broke
your life is a joke
living in the dark
hearing the dogs bark
then a hand comes
you don't know it came from
it lifts you of the ground
your face is no longer a frown
he says he's your dad
and he's very sad
for leaving you when you were young
and then he opened his mouth and sung
he sung a song from when you were 4
and your heart is no longer sore
he hugs you with a great force
and you have finally found your source
