Back and Forth

by Sabine Taylor   May 3, 2005

Understanding what you mean
Misunderstanding what you want
Falling down, standing up
Closing my eyes to ignore everything
Opening my ears to don't miss anything
Walking along this road
Standing still to look back
From where I came from
Turning around to the future
To see where my way will lead me
Undecided I am
I am sure
But I have to decide about
What now seems unclear
Because I can't stand still anymore

I have to do a step
Forth to know
That there's still a back
Falling down
To stand up again
Opening my eyes
Closing my ears
To ignore what is
Favourable to miss
When I walk on this road
Looking back and in the future
Ready to do the next step
