Your words drowning in my head
Can’t let them go
Though I want to forget
What once happened to you and me
What we did and said
Long ago
But still in my mind
Like burned in
The words that awake me deep in the night
When my thoughts fly back to you
Though I didn’t want them to
Because it was so long ago
But still they can’t let me go
Painfully burned in my mind
