Missing

Missing

Please forgive me.
But I will not be home again.
If I stay, I will bring danger.
I do not want to begin...

I have some people after me,
But it is not like you care.
Every other time was the same,
You were never there.

You told me you would protect me!
That one night in the rain...
I slipped and sprained my ankle,
And tried to ignore the pain.

You said we were being followed...
So you set me down and left.
I sat there and waited.
Held my ankle while I wept.

You told me to hollar.
That you would be there.
When the man of my nightmares showed up...
All I could do was stare.

I almost died that night!
My last night at home.
All that I can do now...
Is keep running all alone...

*I did not really know what category to put this under... but I think it goes best under lost love*
