Your love

by yessie   May 4, 2005

Did you not see your eyes in her little face?
All she wanted was your love,
While you were busy with her brothers.
She tried so hard to prove to you she was better than the boys.
You looked at her and put her down, all she wanted was your approval.
All her life she heard your words she couldn’t because she was a girl.
She cried and cursed God for not making her like her brothers.
She grew up being every thing her father wanted in her brothers.
She moved away did what she wanted never knowing if he loved her.
She’s just like him in ever way he’s just too proud to see it.
Till this day he puts her down and tells her she could have done better.
If her father only knew that he only made her stronger.

She has a son who she loves so much.
She vowed to give him every thing her father didn’t.
All the things she hated growing up, she said she never do it.
She stopped one day she couldn’t believe she was exactly like her father.
The words she hated most she was saying them to her son.
She told him no when he asked to play the violin,
She told him no because he was a boy.
Did you not see your eyes in his little face?
All he wanted was you to love him………

Life has a messed up way of biting u in the ass......

That's so sad! True about life biting you in the ass. I am sure you will do everything you can to show him you love him. It's sad that your dad didn't want a girl. Never let those words of your father bring you down! Was this about you? Very well expressed! Take Care! Brooke
