The girl in the corner

by Sarah ala bella   May 5, 2005

She speaks and no one listens
She smiles and no one sees
She laughs and no one hears
She falls and no one cares
She lives and no one notices
She yearns and no one gives

She is just there in the corner

She trips and people watch
She cries and people whisper
She stutters and people laugh
She runs and people taunt
She hides and people seek
She gives and people take

She is just there in the corner

The girl in the corner is always there
Watching and waiting
She is always on guard
She is always prepared
She is always ready to cry.

She is just the girl in the corner.

I love it! it is so sad and cute at the same time. It is so true how that happens...people notice the bad and take advantage of the good.
