A love so tough

Walking through the courtyard,
I cant help but stop and stare,
As you stand talking to your mates,
You never even notice me there.

You kinda know I like you,
But words could never say,
Just how much I love you,
Just how much I feel this way.

I look forward to the lessons,
Where I can stare at the back of your head,
But for the good it does me,
I might as well be dead.

I think of you all through the day,
And all through the night,
I cant go on just being friends,
That just wouldnt be right.

My friends say that you like me,
But I know its not true,
Because I know you could never love me,
The way that I love you.

If you read this poem,
You would know just how I feel,
Always so dead, so numb, so cold,
Life no longer seems real.

Basically what Im trying to say,
Is I love you, simple enough,
But I never knew that loving somebody,
Could ever be so tough.
