Blossoming Soul

by BrightEyes71   May 6, 2005

The flower in my heart,
it's petals they slowly wilt,
as I feel lost, lonely, and confused,
and overwhelmed by my thoughts of guilt.

It's all my fault my thoughts they speak,
please make them fade away,
I can't let them steal my blossoming soul,
and let me wither day by day.

They tell me I am unworthy,
and nothing more than despair,
that I have no value or worth,
and oh no one will ever care.

Is it really the truth,
there has to be someone that sees,
that I'm not ignorant or a nobody but,
I am beautiful hidden me.

I liked the analogy between your soul and the flower. it's a common one, but I still like it. Read some of my work if you find the time.
