The Girl

I watched a girl
Let her life disappear
Her happiness and joys
Were replaced with sorrow and fears

I felt so sorry for her
She looked so sad and torn
Once I even heard her say
“I wish I was never born”

This girl is lost, wandering about
Trying to find her map
Trying to find herself once more
Trying to fill the empty gap

Her map is not the only thing
She’s lost along the way
Her smile and her happiness
Are yet to be found, even to this day

I felt so sorry for that girl
Sad, I did not want her to be
I know just how she feels
Because that girl is me
