Last Dance

by Yap Yew Jin   Sep 20, 2003

Why did God have to be so unfair?
Tearing lovers apart from one another
Leaving them in grieve and despair
Hoping that they will find each other.

I, for one, am different from the rest
Unlike others, I couldn’t offer security
She is the one; she is the best
My sincerity to her is my best quality.

She came and made a change in me
For good or bad; for better or worse
Therefore, as far as I can see
Losing her would be such a curse.

Now that she’s gone, my life is a void
Empty of things, with nothing inside
My love for her I just can’t avoid
My feelings for her I just can’t hide.

Now all I can do is leave it to fate
If only she would give me a chance
I just hope that it won’t be too late
To be with her for one last dance.
