How Many More

by Eva   May 8, 2005

He's sitting in the dark
Without the ones that used to love him
The ones that dared to say
The words he remembers to this day
He's sitting in the dark
With all that he knows against him
"I love you" are no longer said
To the ones that will soon, soon be dead
He's sitting in the dark
And he's trying to compose
Trying to hide the pain
With the joy that was never gained
He's sitting in the dark
And he needs just one more chance
To prove to you and me
That this isn't what he's supposed to be
He's sitting in the dark
"Can you save me?" he wants to say
"Save me from myself
From the one that's hiding on the shelf"
He's sitting in the dark
With the blade in his hand
Waiting to sting the skin
Just waiting for the hurt to begin
He's sitting in the dark
And he needs your help so much
Help open up the door
Open it and make it forever more
He's open to the light
That's one that has been saved
But how many more are just sitting there
Just sitting in the dark

~!This really was a hard one because it has to do with a friend and me...("You know I am always there for you!")!~
