Demons

by Brooke Thompson   May 8, 2005

The darkness surrounds you,
You hear it in the night.
the heavy sounds of footfalls all around you
Some of them you recognize
others you don't
Always reeking of death and the grave
Claws moving upon the ground,
Claws closing upon your tender throat
Fangs and horns you never saw upon their faces in life
These are the demons of death

I think that the right words are in this poem, the thought is certainly behind them at least. Again do not feel that you have to rhyme, this worked ok without rhyming.
