My Empty Betrothed

by Eden   May 9, 2005

My empty betrothed...
You ask to run away.
Where will your mind be when you wake up to no one there beside you?
You are empty.
My tainted perfection.
THe sky mourns your useless love...you want to torture me.
All I ever did was love...you.
Now my heart cries out for you...I am jealous.
Jealous of the one who shall have you...
Jealous of Time who has torn you away from my cold fingertips.
There is nothing for my lips to brush against.
You think I betrayed you...
Selling my soul to Lucifer himself over you...
This is not betrayal.
You are the very essence of this crime.
You are the one who is leaving me.
My empty betrothed.

Now I hold onto the Chain of Darkness.
She will never leave me.
She will never die...
...But in the end she will kill me.
I cannot choose Darkness over you when I have you not to lose in the first place.

I miss you...miss your delicate touch, yes.
But this elegant demon riddles me with warm shivers that sear my soul in blissful cascades of rivulets of ebony evil.
Crisp, renewed, I am reborn.
I am revived in these new waves of a crimson tide.
I am swept away; forgetting how you disowned me.
I live for something different now.
Something better...
I am Eden.
