A faint sign

Anger and frustration builds within
slipping deeper into my black hole
when suddenly
i see a glimpse of gray
in the darkness
a faint sign of hope
a faint sign of peace
a faint sign of love
so hesitant
so confused
don't want to rush into things
don't want to regret my decision
don't want to get hurt
all i know is pain and heartache
you say you're different
but so did the others
i want proof
i need proof
proof that i matter
proof that you really are different
i love how i fell when I'm with you
you give me
a faint sign of hope
a faint sign of peace
a faint sign of love
don't let me be right
prove me wrong
show me there are some good guys
as i slip farther into the dark
i suddenly see a glimpse of gray
maybe I'm not supposed to vanish
maybe this will work out
maybe you are different
the thought of that give me
a faint sign of hope
a faint sign of peace
a faint sign of love
