Purity Lies Within

by Eden   May 9, 2005

Terror grips the heart of me
Your lips upon my neck.
Teeth so white against my flesh
To tear a rending scar...

Fading memories forgotten
I am only this.
You are killing me to live alone;
A strife not wanted by mortality.

My life gushing to your mouth
Your tongue licks the stickiness away.
My crimson blood is dripping swiftly
You press me closer to your cold body.

I cannot run away, it seems.
I'm paralyzed in your grasp.
I cannot see the day anymore...
I am leaving this life so suddenly.

You lashed out from the dark
And I came swiftly to your peering gaze.
With swift motion you soon attacked,
And now I am only living to continue your bloodthirsty existence.

Famished I am, for life eternal
I crave to be your aptitude.
To learn everything there is to know
And not suffer from the curses of time.

Now I lay limp within your arms;
You place your wrist upon my lips.
Drink, you urge, for me to live again
Only this time in eternity's limpidness.

Fortified teeth puncture lesions
Into your pale ivory wrist.
Succulent life beseeches my psyche
To every part of your taste.

Forget the trials that life undergoes
I am life's new essence.
Now the character of my being
is to live for blood's quintessence.

Not of hate or love or fear
Do I bid the coming tear
Once death holds you by the hand,
There is no way to flee.

Now I've changed to vampiric state.
Now my potency you've come to hate.
Bitter thoughts will end you so quickly...
If I find you this night.

Blood so swift, a river drawn.
From your veins, I am demon-spawn.
For every sun's ray is poison to my skin...
My purity come from within.
