Raindrops

by latin girl   May 10, 2005

There's a raindrop on my window
Falling down slowly
Making it from top to bottom
Soon more begin to fall
Pouring like a little waterfall
Soon the sidewalks fill up
Into little banks
Quickly disspearing
Watzero
That's what we call it
When it's pouring so hard that it
Feels like little bullets
On your back
I used to dance in the rain
What happened?
I would go outside
Jumping on the puddles
Until my lips were numb
And my pants so soaked
That I wasn't even cold anymore
I would stay so long
To the point where my curls
Would curl out of my hair
Feeling mother nature
Nourish it's earth
Starving for water
And getting replied
No signs of life
Except the plants
The very thing that we depend on
And they depend on us as well
Loving every thing
Becoming one with the beat
Of the Raindrops
Drip , Drip
Wanting to sink in
With the moist soil
Feeling it almost engulf me
It was like earth was crying
Tears of happiness
Pouring harder
Replenshing everything
Dripping away
Until there's nothing left
Washing out everything to
Renew the system
I remember the trees so high
And amazing that they
Were like natural umbrellas in the wild
I could smell the dew
So sweet and clean
Nothing smelled better

I love the rain. Very pretty poem! I always love to listen to the sound of the rain coming down. I still like to be out in it too! I can almost smell it now! Great job! Take Care! Brooke~
