Two People that is Me

There are two people that is me
Both behind the eyes you see
One full of happiness and wonder
The other full of pain that does not slumber

Fighting for a simple mix
Striving for that elusive fix
Blending the two into one
Both sides exposed to the sun

That is where my struggle lies
There will be no more denies
I am full of love yet full of hate
I can not believe that is my fate

One side struggles to hurt those I love
The other is as gentle as a dove
This is ripping at my very soul
But to become one is my final goal

Those I have hurt please do forgive
Put the past behind so we both can live
All I ask is for you to know
That I can change so please don’t go

I will struggle; I will fight
I will face this with all my might
With these few words I will not lie
