Just a little light in that huge sea of paleness

by Sabine Taylor   May 11, 2005

It was a great experience writing some poem like that, because I never wrote about life and death in such a way. I would be glad if you could comment and tell me what you think, I guess that would help me a lot to develope my style of writing. Thank you very much.

I am just a little light
Sooner or later
I will shine on the horizon
While flying away in another world
After life even after death
Heaven or paradise
We call this atmosphere
Where we will meet again
Leading a new life after death

Sooner or later
The time will come
When I have to say good bye
To all the lovely people
I will miss so much
The ones who brighten my day
But I am not anxious
Thinking about my life’s end
Sooner or later it will come

This little light on the horizon
Nobody will relate it to me
Forgotten after death
My hugest fear
But how can that be
Struggling and exerting
For a goal I can’t see clear

Meant to be on this planet
To do something
That won’t be forgotten so soon
In history and in the world population’s mind
Who saw myself fate away
And remember me
When they sometimes look at the clear sky
Dark and endless
With the light of my little star
Enlightening this sea of paleness
While I lead a life after death
