Try To Stop The Tears

by Emma Carnage   May 11, 2005

I’m feeling very depressed
This music isn’t helping
But what will?
Hopefully soon I’ll find something
Tell me what to do

I need somebody here for me
Before I break down and cry
Help me through this please
Hold my hand
Squeeze it tight
Tell me everything will be alright

You hand isn’t helping
The tears are still coming
Soon they’ll be falling
So stroke my hair
Run your fingers through it
Don’t let me quit

Your touch is soothing
But it’s still not enough
The tears are brimming
Please hold me tight
Put your arms around my waist
Help these feelings get erased

My heart beat’s finally slowing
But my tears still chose to fall
Even though you tried so hard
You held my hand so tight
Told me everything would be alright
You stroked my hair and ran your fingers through it
You wouldn’t let me quit
You held me tight around my waist
And helped the feelings be erased
Thank you for trying ever so hard
But now all you can do is just stand by
While I just sit here and cry
