What I am

I left it all behind my hopes my dreams my expectation
I have left my childhood my past
my present and my future

I have left my memories my friends
my life I have been forced to
discard my inhibitions my thoughts my emotions

I am forced to forget about
the years spent and the years to
focus on the years to come

Well I choose not to forget as I sit here here conjuring my emotions dreams and memories

I shall not allow this obstacle
called life to ruin my past my present and future

my soul wont allow it
it tells me not to forget where
I come from

It tells me not to forget what I believe in and what I stand for
I wish to remember it all till the day I die

i will not forget myself and
I refuse to forget you
