Road Filled With Memories

by LieBaby_Lie   May 15, 2005

I was walking down a road,
And tears sprung in my eyes.
I remember what happened,
And silently started to cry.
Just a month ago,
I was happy as could be.
Walking down that road,
My man right next to me.
His arm wrapped around me,
I looked into his eyes,
I told him I loved him,
He didn’t look surprised.
I took his skateboard from him,
And tried to skate down the hill.
I almost fell but he caught me,
As I gave a little shrill.
He took me in his arms,
And wrapped them around me tight.
Never did I want to leave,
This all had felt so right.
But as we got to the end of the road,
We went our separate ways.
I kissed him goodbye and hugged him,
As we both started to walk away.
I turned around and saw him,
Looking back at me.
I smiled and waved goodbye,
And was as happy as could be.
The next day was the worst.
I got with another guy.
I realized I made a big mistake,
And he didn’t even ask why.
He just went on,
As though I haven’t hurt him.
Maybe I didn’t,
But I knew it was a sin.
So whenever I walk down that road,
I remember all the good times.
And how things are now,
I cannot help but cry.
