Daddy Was Our Angel

I have to tell you a story
That happened one rainy day
A Mom and her two little girls
Were going to visit her family this day.

They were traveling on the interstate
When suddenly she lost control
The car flipped several times
And the damage took its toll.

The first person at the scence
Called to get her help,
She told the man to find her kids
She wasn't worried about herself.

The man thought she was delusional
Because no kids could be found
He looked everywhere
And heard not a sound.

The rescue crew finally freed her
She was hysterical and running mad
Then a cop came and told her
"Your kids are over there."

He pointed to his police car
Some man had brought them there
But now he couldn't find him
It was like he vanished in thin air.

Those little girls told their Mommy
That daddy had saved their life
The tears started flowing
And she knew her girls were right.

You see their Dad died many years ago
Her tears now flowing from her eyes
She looked up to heaven and thanked God
And then she just broke down and cried.
