Behind This Smile

I suck it up when I'm around you
Never acting like I'm blue
Covering it up with giggles and smiles
Making it seem like I could go on for miles
Hoping you will never see me cry
You not knowing that I want to die
I hide from you so you cant see the tears
Acting brave and not telling my fears
No matter what I hold my head up high
But the higher I hold it the more I want to cry
I hope you never see the feelings inside me
I hope you always see my happiness and glee
But I must admit it gets really hard
It seems like everything is in my reach but yet so far
I know deep inside me you wont see me break down
But deeper down I know you see me frown
The greatness I often show you
Isn't always necessarily true
You will never see me fail when your around
When I'm crying I wont make a sound
I like knowing that you don't think this of me
But what I show you isn't what I see
I'm gonna try to be tough
No matter if my life is rough
You will not see tears for awhile
You will not see what is behind this smile
