Pendant

by My tormented little heart   May 17, 2005

She wears his heart on a necklace
It's the only proof that she's not heartless
The love she feels could never be compared
The scars & tears have been mended and repaired

Her only wish is to have him forever
The story of her life to be happily ever after
For miles and miles she would travel
Hanging on her neck is her lover's medal

It's the only reason she has to go on
No matter how poor, it could never be pawned
For love would have no meaning without this heart
It hides the one thats been smashed apart

It stays clutched between her breasts
On top of her heart is where it rests
To tell a story that once was silent
Just take a glance at her beautiful pendant
