Hello Michael,
My name is Ingrid. I am Zanthonies mother. I love the idea of a tribute poem. I myself have not come around to writing one. Zanthonie said to me in his last days that he had met some nice people but I didn't quite believe it. But after reading such encouraging comments on his poems and reading such cheerful e-mails I am beginning to think otherwise. Zanthonies passing has been incredibly hard on my family and it really feels good to know that someone cares enough to write a poem for him. Zanthonie was an outstanding person and he will be eternally missed.

This is a beautiful poem and a wonderful tribute to the young poet. Its so sad that he had to leave at such a young age, but he is at peace and no longer suffering. He is one of God's angels now and looking down and protecting those he loves. He will live on through his words and through all the memories he has left behind. Once again this was truly beautiful Michael.
