The Death Of A Good Friend

by Megan Raye   May 18, 2005

I can't believe you're gone,
You were a good friend.
Yes, you made mistakes,
But your life shouldn't of come to an end.

You always smiled when something was wrong,
"Put A Smile On,"
Was your happy song.

You were only eighteen,
too young to die.
People would see how much this hurts,
If they looked into my eye.

Jared's really upset,
Because that cop killed you.
He loved you so much,
And this you always knew.

Matt I had a dream,
That it was all just a game.
Without you here,
It won't be the same.

That thing called life
Is something we treasure.
And just to let you know,
You'll be in my heart forever.

Ashley's taking it hard,
shes got too much stuff going wrong.
But she'll miss you so much,
Because a good friend is gone.

Macy's cried so much over you,
Shes wishes in her mind,
That none of this was true.

I got to get it through my head,
That you're gonna be gone.
But you're up in heaven,
Where I guess you belong.

I don't know how John's taking it,
I heard it's pretty bad.
But I don't blame him at all,
Because we're all really sad.

Matt you're a good friend,
With a good heart to spare.
I'll always remember you,
And I'll always care.
