A Poor Girl's Darkened Eyes

by Megan Raye   May 18, 2005

In her eyes,
the world is dark.
She chokes up her feelings,
Deep down in her heart.
Hiding her feelings,
And the frown on her face.
The smile she shows,
Is such a disgrace.
Her pretty brown eyes,
Get darker each day.
For every mistake,
That she's had to pay.
For all of the things,
She mistakenly said.
For all of the guys,
That messed with her head.
For the place she found,
But doesn't belong.
For all the times she cried,
When she head that special song.
For all of the people,
That made her break down.
For all of the people,
That made her a bigger frown.
For all of the people,
That made her pain start.
For all of the people,
That made her eyes dark.
