A waterfall

by katie!   May 19, 2005

A waterfall cascades down the sheer drop mountain
Shadowy water a constant fiery fountain
Drench myself in the torrent of dark rain
Lift my head to the sky gasp for breath again

Tap dance under the beat of the water beating through me
Head down, straight down to the ground so I cannot see
Escape reality in this mystical point of earth
Smile and nod to the sound of their rebirth

Feel myself lose control laughter falls from my mouth
As I stand under these waters quenching this drought
Feel my hands moving uncontrolably caught
This feeling which for so long the world has sought

Drumming on the cliff face, where a trickle of life is pale
Dark snow blood red falls on the place I failed
Catching the snowflakes as they drift midair
Droplets of blood trickle through my hair

Floods of liquid are pushing me deep into the ground
Move with me to the new rhythm I have found
Can't get the eery music to depart from my head
Water washes me away as I wake up dead...

    beautiful start!
wow, this is really good, the detail in it is so vivid and the meaning is somewhat vague with the idea of it right in front of you, very good elements in this kind of poem, i really liked the descriptions, they were beautiful, keep up the good work! 5/5
