Forever and Real

by brokenXwings   May 19, 2005

I feel like I'll leave the ground any minute.
Gravity no longer applies.
I feel that my heart has taken wings,
But they're too small to make it fly.

I sit by the window, waiting for a glimpse.
The one that will sustain me all day.
The look in your eyes when you look at me,
It could last me forever.

I can almost touch forever,
when I reach for your hand.
Everyone tells me that forever is impossible,
But I know real when I see it.

And we can talk for hours,
Without really saying a thing.
Because what needs to be said
Is there without saying a word.

I get shivers down my spine whenever I think of you.
Butterflies are within me whenever you say my name.
When I'm close to you I feel safe.
It makes me never want to be far.

I can fall into the fathoms of your eyes,
And just get lost.
And nothing else has to exist for me.
I like it that way.

And sometimes when I sleep at night,
Your face is etched in my dreams.
You are there and all that's real,
The only one not faking.

When I feel like I'm breaking,
Falling to pieces inside.
Somehow, I don't know how you do it,
But you put me back together.

And when it ends, like I know it will,
You'll still be here.
Forever and real.
