Leaving

by brin macnamara   May 21, 2005

Sweetly you preoccupy all my dreams,
while daily I see you on every avenue I walk down.
Your name binds my heart,
your absence even now brings me to the brink of tears
While unresolved passion burns me to the marrow.

For now though, I am weary,
tired by waiting.
All loved out through not declaring my love.
God, but I'd like to hold her!
kiss her-even on the cheek
Right now!

Seismic fissures are beginning to unfold throughout my essence
For the day of you exodus is approaching.
On that day I will fashion a smile, say take care,
and silently splinter.

As you walk away
The world won't see my world crumbling into complete disarray.

Goodbye My Lovely One...
Goodbye.
