A dreamful of grey clouds

by Jenn   May 22, 2005

A dream:
to pull the clouds down
the rainy clouds
the grey clouds
yes, the grey ones
the ones that dont have
friends
or family
or the sun to dry their eyes,
clouds that can envelop me
and absorb my pain,
the grey ones
the ones that people
seek shelter from
as if they shall harm this earth
with their tears,
and everybody hears them
but nobody listens,
nobody wonders why
they sob in loneliness
isolated
confined,
even the angels
scurry away
thinking perhaps
their charcoal grey frowns
will stain their icy-white gowns,
oh clouds
if only they knew
I hear their thundering cries;
do they hear mine too?
surely they do,
I hear their whispers,
they hear mine too,
never will those clouds be
alone,
no, not with me
feeling their pain,
sharing their pain
