Your Blood Was Mine

by Eden   May 24, 2005

You fell from me...
What else would I think?
Replacing all but your screaming voice
Pushing my insanity to its brink...

I took your blood...
And made it mine.
So many words that cannot describe
The emotions flowing out of line...

Why must you make
Things so hard to take?
Keep me subdued with your silent stare
Cooling blood, for me you make...

Why won't you leave...
And abandon my mind?
You are gone from this world...
But you left something behind.

Why won't you go?
Must you taunt my memories even-faced...
...Like an agent of fatality you come to me
And retell and haunt what I replaced.

Your blood was mine...
I took it with the moon's pledge
That I would never see you again...
But now I'm pushed over this edge...

Your blood was mine...
Is it that you still live?
When thorns cannot choke the life from your throat...
I am not finished...your blood again I must sieve.

You are no longer mine...
You are not dead...
You did not die like I had planned...
And even though you departed from this earth...
And I murdered you so softly...
You are in my head still screaming...
A place I cannot escape or kill...

  • wow, very deep....I'm assuming it is about a murderer's growing insanity? If so, then you have created a great perspective on the situation.
