Our Day at the Carnival

by Prince Enigma   May 29, 2005

Watching the merry-go-around,
Moving up and down,
Lifting her up, she held on very tight,
We were like kids on a playground.

Watching the roller coaster,
Moving slow and fast,
Holding hands, she closed her eyes,
We were a couple having a blast.

Watching the carnival games,
Took me a few tries,
To finally win the biggest teddy bear,
Oh well, I already have the grand prize.

Under the "Tunnel of Love" we go,
Dark and quiet, we did not care,
As we blow kisses of heaven,
Our love filled the air.

As midnight came,
We both looked above,
Watching the beautiful fireworks,
We knew this was true love.

A real change from your other poem, but still worth a read! Not so much description here though it still works well.

I like this one, it sounds like something out of a movie. And the fact that your feelings are clearly shown. Nice poem.

Hey Minx + pinx is me. I have 2 accounts - all my poems arent bad - read some of these i have about 50. This is my main account. Thanks for your comments. The other account is so that if family or close friends stumble across it they wont know its me. I just needed to get those feelings out as they have been bottled up for nearly 5 years.
