Night

by SilentAngel   May 29, 2005

Lava encased in a warm glass skin bubbling precariously among its light.
Covers wrap my feet warding off the cold chill.
The cat, purring in her usual spot next to my head in the corner of my bed.
Something about the way she feels so secure makes me want that same feeling.
Cuddle so snugly in her pillow.
She stretches her soft paws letting out a small yawn
Where she looks at me with this cute innocent face he lays her head down
And falls asleep so keenly.
I lay there watching her asking myself:
What is it really like to fall asleep at night,
With no worries, no insecurities, not the faintest inkling of the future.
I lay in my bed, pondering the ravenous thoughts
Of what life might be like if I was just like every other teenager.
