Love for a murderer?

by Sean   May 30, 2005

She stays with me always,
Sometimes I hold her in my arms.
I tell her, “It’s going to be ok”
No one can harm you,
Not now….

No one could harm you,
When you’re already dead..

She stays with me always,
In my thoughts and in my mind.
And the times I have cried,
I collected the tears…

Sweet cousin,
Can’t you grow again
From my tears…?
I miss you.
I still need you…

She stays with me always,
And I have spent so long,
So long to make things right.

There is no payment to make,
An angel died by my hands.

She stays with me always,
When I hold the girl that I love.

I can’t harm her…
I can’t watch her fall apart,
I can’t…not again.

And I ask myself,
Everyday, of every moment.
Why angels hurt,
How can she be with me?

And I know she deserves better,
Better than a murderer…
Give her up?
I love her.

She stays with me always,
Every time I look into your eyes Tracie,
Some nights,
I cry, curled up.
Wishing you had something better,
Better than a murderer.
Better, than I.

Oh dear; i can see my writing is confused and messy in this poem - there are two girls as such, one being my cousin who is now dead....and the other Tracie, my girlfriend at the moment.

It makes more sense when i had italics/bold for particular parts of it, but you can't do that on this site...can you?
